This carriage assembly is for use with Rite-Hite dock levelers. The carriage, which resides underneath the deck on a dock leveler, is a crucial component that supports the dock leveler during loading and unloading. As a truck backs up to a loading dock, the deck of the dock leveler is raised while the carriage recedes. After the truck departs, the carriage returns to its normal position. Like all dock leveler parts, carriages sometimes have to be replaced.
